✨ New Openings ✨
7th Street Burger now open in DUMBO! A brand new 7th Street Burger location just opened up in DUMBO at 17 Old Fulton Street. Now you can get your burger fix with the iconic city views.
Fish Tales Gourmet Seafood Market Grand Re-opening: Officially opened July 14th, Fish Tales new location is at 197 Court Street. In a larger space, they’re continuing to serve their high-quality seafood in a fresh space.
Bad Cholesterol buys a bar space in Red Hook: The Bad Cholesterol team is opening their first-ever bar and restaurant, Third Time’s the Charm, at 275 Van Brunt. Think wine by the carafe, sourdough pizza, a zebra-print ceiling (for now), and a backyard. They just launched a @numarket.co campaign to help open the doors. Clover Smoothie & Tea on Smith Street: There’s a new smoothie spot at 136 Smith Street with fresh smoothies, juices, acai bowls and more. Get the details here.
Benefit Cosmetics store re-opening: The Benefit Cosmetics store has re-opened on 168 Court Street. They’re having a re-opening bash with product discounts, gifts with purchase, and more.
New Nike Store on Atlantic Ave: A brand new Nike store just opened in the former Old Navy spot 625 Atlantic Avenue.
Van Leeuwen New Location: City Point in Downtown Brooklyn just got a new Van Leeuwen at 445 Gold St.
Melissa Joy Manning’s last day in Brooklyn is July 26th: After 20 wonderful years in Brooklyn, beloved local jewelry designer Melissa Joy Manning is closing her shop and heading back to her roots in Vermont. Her final day in the neighborhood is Saturday, July 26th, where you can stop by to say goodbye, sip some champagne, and shop a few final treasures (yes, even the cacti). While she’s leaving the storefront behind, Melissa’s designs will live on online, with more ways to stay connected.

“Mayor Eric Adams and New York City Department of Transportation Commissioner Ydanis Rodriguez on Friday announced that the city will finally shut down operations at a controversial concrete recycling facility on the western Brooklyn waterfront by this August.
Local residents had been flooding their elected officials with complaints about the dust, vibrations and noise from the SIMS Concrete Recycling Facility, operated by NYC DOT, ever since it was temporarily relocated to the north end of Brooklyn Marine Terminal site in the Columbia Street Waterfront District in February 2024.” [Brooklyn Eagle]
