The community is mourning the loss of longtime dog walker and trainer Csaba, who cared for neighborhood pets for more than two decades. He passed away at 55 after a recent diagnosis of stage 4 pancreatic cancer and is remembered by neighbors as a beloved part of the community.

Bar Ferdinando opens April 15 at 151 Union Street, taking over the historic former home of Ferdinando’s Focacceria under restaurateur Sal Lamboglia. Real Estate Scoop: Luxury sales surged this month, led by a redeveloped townhouse at 17 Douglass Street in Cobble Hill. The five-bedroom home, asking just over $9.8 million, was the top contract in a $75 million week for the borough’s high-end market, according to The Real Deal.
Hudson Companies has filed plans for a 28-story, 302-unit building at 20 Fifth Street - with all units designated as affordable housing. If approved, it would become one of the largest income-restricted developments in the neighborhood’s post-rezoning pipeline, near the Smith-Ninth F/G station.
