Red Hook neighborhood restaurant Pitt’s has sadly closed following its winter hiatus. The restaurant, known for its pancake soufflés, shut its doors permanently on March 4. Ramblin’ Chick just put its sign up, and the opening is only weeks away with the highly anticipated chicken smashburger. Follow along on the journey of Brian Jackie, founders of Ample Hill, as they get ready to open their next venture. You can get a sneak peek of the food here.
Artist Call! Saturn Road is accepting submissions for “Out Loud,” an upcoming group exhibition spotlighting LGBTQ+ artists living and working in NYC. The show will feature small-scale 2D works celebrating the vibrancy and diversity of queer voices across the five boroughs. Retail Scoop for Cobble Hill: Feed Me reported that the former Regal Cinema on Court Street is reportedly looking for a new operator. This theater packed with neighborhood lore might just be preparing for its second act. We’ll be watching closely.
Broadway star Phillipa Soo, best known for her role in Hamilton, is selling her Brooklyn Heights loft with husband Steven Pasquale.
The New York City Landmarks Preservation Commission is set to review a proposal for renovations at 145 Wyckoff Street in Boerum Hill, a three-story Italianate row house within the historic district.
