✨ New Openings and Local Happenings✨
Ingas Bar is expanding to Boerum Hill. The husband-and-wife team behind one of our personal favorites, Ingas Bar, is taking over the former Café Kitsuné corner. They’re calling it Ingas’s “older sister,” and if that means more elevated comfort classics and warm service, we are absolutely here for it. [Grubstreet]

Speaking of affordable housing - Beckett Zahedi, a Carroll Gardens local and student at Brooklyn Friends School in Downtown Brooklyn, and his classmate Derrick Webster Jr., built a website called Realer Estate, aiming to offer New Yorkers a simpler way to find affordable and rent‑stabilized apartments. So excited for Inga’s expansion!!!
Solid roundup. The Transit Museum's vintage nostalgia train detail is great, riding those 1930s cars for just a subway fare is such an underrated experiance. It's neat how public transit can double as a moving museum and community amenity, especially durring the holidays when that kinda thing adds texture to the neighborhood.
