Light Switch, a new day-to-night coffee shop and wine bar, has opened at 333 Court Street in the former Brooklyn Strategist space. They’re serving coffee and pastries by day before transitioning to wine, spritzes and small plates in the evening. The Strong Buzz is sharing more opening details.

The city is moving forward with plans to build a temporary highway above Furman Street alongside Brooklyn Bridge Park while a half-mile stretch of the deteriorating BQE is rebuilt. According to Gothamist, the two-level temporary roadway would be roughly the same height as the existing highway and is intended to keep traffic moving during the major reconstruction project.
Two New York favorites are teaming up for the holidays: West Elm has announced a Holiday 2026 collection with Russ & Daughters inspired by the iconic appetizing shop’s history and Jewish traditions.
