Brooklyn Heights’ longtime nautical dive bar Montero has officially sold, the Montero family has sold the 86-year-old bar to new owners. The name, iconic neon sign, karaoke nights, and late hours are expected to remain, with plans to revive the bar’s kitchen and preserve its character.

The Brooklyn Heights Community Fridge is searching for a new home after more than four years outside First Presbyterian Church. A community town hall will be held to help brainstorm possible new locations and keep this neighborhood resource going.
JETSET Pilates Boerum Hill opens soon! Boerum Hill instructors are hosting pre-opening preview classes ahead of the studio’s official launch. Details HERE.
Baby Luc’s Ladies and Babies Clothing Drive: They’re collecting essential items for women and babies, including business attire, winter jackets, diapers, and baby necessities. Donations dropped off at Baby Luc’s between January 5 and January 18 will benefit Women 4 Women, CAC, Sacred Hearts Church, and Plymouth Church.
The protected bike lane on Court Street will remain after a Brooklyn Supreme Court judge dismissed a lawsuit challenging the project. The ruling rejects an effort by the Court Street Merchants Association to block the redesign and reinforces the authority of the New York City Department of Transportation to implement street-safety changes.
