Movies With A View: Hidden Figures @ Brooklyn Bridge Park, (6:00pm-10:30pm): Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Movies With A View series continues tonight with Hidden Figures, the inspiring film about the Black women mathematicians who helped launch NASA’s space program. The lawn opens at 6:00 PM (first come, first serve), with the movie starting at sunset. This week they will also be collecting donations for Little Essentials. Get all the info here.

Growing Season: Bananas of the world @ Public Records (7:00pm)*: Public Records kicks off its Growing Season series with the release party for Anthony Basil Rodriguez’s book, Bananas of the World: A First Look. The evening will feature a photo installation and an artist talk on Anthony’s global travels exploring rare banana species, traditional varieties, and the communities connected to them. FREE.
