Tortelli, Italian food and provisions shop, now open! From the chef behind LaRina and the owner of Briscola / MozzLab (more details of the fascinating way this came to be here), this new shop brings fresh, house-made pasta (ready to eat or take home), Italian pantry staples, dreamy tiramisu, and more to the neighborhood.
Summerfield Has Closed Its Doors: After an initial relocation, Summerfield has made the difficult decision to close permanently. More info here.
Citi Bike is giving out free rides every Saturday this month! As part of the iconic Summer Streets, Citi Bike is giving away free day passes every Saturday in August. Details on how to claim your free ride HERE.

Movies With A View: The Wizard of Oz @ Brooklyn Bridge Park, (6:00pm-10:30pm): Brooklyn Bridge Park’s Movies With A View series continues tonight with The Wizard of Oz, part of this year’s “Women in Hollywood” theme celebrating films by and starring leading women. The lawn opens at 6:00 PM (first come, first serve), with the movie starting at sunset. For the August 7 and 21 screenings, they’re also hosting a Little Essentials Donation Drive. Joyful Nights with Saint James Joy @ Ace Hotel Lobby (7:00pm-midnight): Saint James Joy, father-son DJ duo from Brooklyn, is bringing their signature block party energy to the Ace Hotel for Joyful Nights. Check it out for a night of dancing, good vibes, and Brooklyn beats. FREE.
Tasheff @ Loafer’s Cocktail Bar (9:00pm-late): Head over to Loafer’s Cocktail Bar to check out Producer and DJ Tasheff as Loafer’s approaches their 10th month in Carroll Gardens for a night of good friends, good music and lots of queer joy. More info here.

Climate Sing – First Tracks @ Brooklyn Bridge Park (11:00am & 4:00pm): Come and sing along, listen, and build community with Climate Sing– First Tracks as artists Eisa Davis and Sxip Shirey premiere two brand-new songs celebrating planet earth.
