Here’s what’s happening this week:

✨ Local Happenings and New Openings ✨

  • Trudie’s Tavern set to open in June! After initially sharing the former Buttermilk Channel space had been taking over by the Gertrude’s team, they are preparing to open their doors in the coming weeks.

  • It’s Pride Month! Support local businesses this month and beyond, check out our list of spots here. We’ll be sharing Pride events in the neighborhood all month long!

  • Save the date! Liz’s Book Bar is joining nine other Black-owned bookstores for the inaugural NYC Juneteenth Black Bookstore Crawl, taking place June 12–19. The weeklong event encourages readers to explore independent bookstores across the city, with a final celebration, raffle, and Juneteenth edition of Live Crossword hosted at Liz’s on June 19.

  • Patio season has arrived! We’ve rounded up all the best spots for summer warmer days in our latest neighborhood guide here. Which one are you headed to first?

One of my favorite things about summer in Brooklyn is how much there is to stumble upon: street fairs, outdoor markets, live music, and neighborhood gatherings. This week's lineup is a great example of that.

See you around Cobble Hill!

Presented by Flea Boutiques

Introducing our Little Flea section at Flea Boutiques

We expanded to include a kid’s section! Since we opened, plenty of parents ask if we carry clothing for kids. Additionally, our small but mighty team gained a new team member, my niece Margot. While she isn’t officially an employee just yet, (she’s 4), she’s become our unofficial baby/kids clothing & accessories buyer!

We carry Maileg mice, Montessori approved toys, organic cotton clothing, & accessories at both our Park Slope & Cobble Hill stores.

We’re offering Cobble Hill Collective neighbors 10% off their next purchase with promo code smithstreetneighbor online & in store at Smith Street!
