The Strong Rope chili cook-off sounds like a fun way to spend a Sunday afternoon. I went to a similar event last year at a different brewery and it was cool seeing how creative people get with their recipes, from classic texas-style to experimental stuff with unexpected ingrediants. $12 advance tickets for beer, tastings, and voting rights is pretty solid value for a local event like this.
